SymPlace’s innovative approach to meetings reimagines them as integral components of a broader collaborative approach, called Augmented Learning Collaboration (ALC). The macro-organisation of meetings will be the first major B2B application of ALC, targeted by SymPlace. It will prioritise efficiency, effectiveness and inclusive decision taking, as well as allow for an easier alignment of meetings with larger organisational goals. ALC-enabled macro-organisation of meetings will translate into cost savings in the order of 5% to 10% of total salary costs. It also enables significant impact in terms of greenhouse gas reductions.

Could advanced AI technologies such as ChatGPT not just replace SymPlace? How could Augmented Learning Collaboration (ALC) enable Collaborative Hybrid Intelligence… and makes AI more trustworthy?

AI technologies complement ALC (Augmented Learning Collaboration), but cannot and should not replace it, if only because human collaboration is too complex and too rich. How will SymPlace use the money raised during this fundraising, and in subsequent ones?

The priority is to implement the first version of the technology, the first product based on macro-meeting organization, and launch the market through business partnerships. In subsequent rounds, we will expand the applications and markets.

Why and how does SymPlace's fundraising operation combine tokens on Kriptown.com and convertible bonds?

The combination of the two financial instruments extends our raise to investors who seek liquidity for their shares and investors who are targeting a more traditional instrument with, in the event of conversion, tax credits in France.

How was the valuation established?

The money raised will be used to develop the product and establish the market. We expect to reach profitability in 5 to 7 years and critical mass in 10 to 15 years. Therefore, we are valuing the future, applying different valuation techniques, including DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), with an annual return rate of over 100% to offset the risk incurred by investors. An excellent investment for those willing to take a risk!

Does SymPlace already have customers?

Yes and no. We have a product, the CMT (Community Management Tool), which was at the beginning of our journey. It had some success but is at the end of its life cycle. Our new product to implement the ALC meets a broad need, which is also the one of SymPlace’s founders: we want it because it could change our lives and our world.

What are the risks related to competition?

SymPlace aims to create a new market... that will disrupt several existing ones with major players with vast resources, including the GAFAM. But SymPlace has attributes that are difficult to imitate, including its decentralized technological model, its economic model, and a strategy that will encourage both large and small entities to cooperate rather than fight with SymPlace.

How does SymPlace confront the technological risks related to privacy protection?

An Augmented Learning Collaboration (ALC) that covers all areas of life raises strong new GDPR / privacy protection challenges. SymPlace's solution is to ensure protection by design by basing symBots and private virtual assistants on Web4.0 technology, with which users and virtual agents have complete control over their data.

We are experienced serial entrepreneurs who know that we are not and must not be irreplaceable. We will build a solid organization as soon as the company takes off. And we have more curiosity and energy than many people who are younger by several decades.

Which are the reasons NOT to believe? And why you should believe anyway – and invest – in the project?

There is a whole list of risks that can make you doubt the project – team risks (including the age of the founders), technology risks, and competition risks. We have the experience to manage them effectively. But above all, we believe they are more than outweighed by the potential for gain.
